How Much Does a Corporate Video Cost in Malaysia?
There is no single price for a corporate video. These are the factors that decide the cost, and how to brief a producer so you get an accurate quote.
Anyone who quotes one fixed price for “a corporate video” without asking questions is guessing. The cost of a corporate video in Malaysia depends on what is being made, and the same words — “a two-minute company video” — can describe very different productions.
What decides the cost
- Length and format: a single film, or a film plus short social edits and stills.
- Crew size and shoot days: one location for half a day is a different job from several locations over several days.
- Locations and travel: permissions, access and getting the crew there.
- Talent and interviews: professional talent, voice-over, or your own staff on camera.
- Equipment: cameras, lighting, audio, and any specialist gear.
- Post-production: editing, colour grading, sound, music, animation or graphics, and subtitles in more than one language.
- Revisions and versions: how many rounds of feedback and how many final cuts.
How to get an accurate quote
Tell the producer the purpose of the video, who will watch it, where it will be shown, the length you have in mind, the languages you need, your deadline, and a budget range if you have one. The more specific the brief, the more accurate — and comparable — the quote.
Compare like with like
When you receive several quotes, check what each one includes: number of shoot days, crew, edit rounds and final files. A lower price often means fewer of these, not a better deal.
